Introduction:
Quality in health services has become a relevant issue of global importance oriented to meet the needs of patients and thus offer new approaches and solutions to user demands. The services provided to the user must be accessible and equitable, in the best conditions, which is why it is necessary to create scientific, professional and institutional strategies to meet the demand.Goals:
To share the initiatives implemented in Hospital Escuela with the creation of instruments that allowed the streamlining of processes during the COVID-19 pandemic.Methodology :
We identified the need to streamline processes due to institutional collapse due to patient demand, a draft was made in Microsoft Word format, after socialization among the staff involved where recommendations and suggestions were issued, then their correction and approval. , was converted to Portable Document Format ( PDF), to be sent to the quality management department for verification and placement of the institutional code, it was distributed to the COVID-19 rooms for use.Results:A total of 7 instruments were created, they allowed processes to be streamlined, such as: Informed Consent for the use of Tocilizumab, Interinstitutional Transfer of COVID-19 Patient instrument, Daily Evolution of COVID-19 Patients in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) COVID- 19, COVID-19 Patient Shift Room Report Format, COVID-19 Respiratory Pretriage Sheet, COVID-19 Patient Flowchart , Laboratory Test Guide for Serious COVID-19 Patients .Conclusions:
The instruments allowed us to speed up the response to patients and facilitated hospital clinical management and collect data to be analyzed and consider in policies and decisions. This systematic response allowed to establish organized national reference and response criteria within the National network of hospitals.
Patient care conditions were improved because of the condition of spaces for the safety of the patient and employees was reorganized. This made it possible to ensure the continuation of the other services provided by the hospital.They allowed a homologation and unification for the attention of the cases.
